The stainless steel bell is placed directly on the cooking plate of your plancha. The bell for plancha has 3 main functions: to accelerate the cooking, to accentuate the flavours during the cooking and to maintain the food warm. The advantage is that the food is covered, cooks over a low heat and the water vapour that is released (as in steaming) speeds up the cooking process and adds flavour to the food. The stainless steel bell allows you to vary your plancha recipes and to cook meat, vegetables or fish!
