Salmon and Cabbage


  • 2 green cabbages
  • 8 carrots
  • 4 salmon steaks
  • 2 onions
  • 2 glasses of dry white wine
  • 1 chicken stock cube
  • Some black olives
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp. of oregano soup
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 200 grams of smoked bacon

The recipe :

  1. Start by preparing a marinade. In a bowl, mix olive oil with chopped garlic, oregano and sliced olives . Dip the salmon fillets in the marinade and let it stand 2 hours.
  2. Cut your cabbage by removing each leaf and washing with water. Cook your cabbage leaves in a steamer for 12 minutes or so in a pot of water to even the plancha. Let cool in cold water , drain and cut into strips.
  3. Peel the carrots and cut them into slices. As for the cabbage, steam them for 10 minutes or in a pot of water on the plancha .
  4. Heat your griddle over high heat and have a pan on. Drizzle olive oil in the pan and fry the bacon and onion oil. Add the cooked and the vegetables white wine . We need white wine covers vegetables, if this is not the case, add a little water. Finish by adding the chicken stock. Cover with a lid and simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. On your hot plancha, cook your salmon steaks. Then have your pavers on the side of the skin and let brown for 5 minutes. Turn them again and let cook for 2 minutes. Your meal is ready, just serve the salmon on a bed of cabbage and carrots.
